The process is as follows. Our team will help you breakdown your legal case to flush out the key criteria and then will refer you to a lawyer or selection of lawyers who we know have a track record in the relevant field of law.
How long will it take to find a lawyer?
Upon registration, we will contact you right away to discuss your case details. From there we will coordinate with our team of connected lawyers and will get back to you as soon as possible with a suitable lawyer or a list of suitable lawyer candidates to represent you.
The time it takes for us to connect you to a suitable lawyer varies depending upon the availability of lawyers that are proficient in the area of law that you require assistance with. We will do everything we can do situate you with a lawyer as quick as possible. We will be in touch with you throughout the progression of your case as customer service is our top priority!
Does LawyerConnection.ca provide legal advice?
No. Although founded by a lawyer, we do not act as lawyers for the purpose of the services we provide and do not provide any legal advice or services. We are a lawyer referral service who will help you find the right lawyer who can provide you with valuable legal advice.
How much does LawyerConnection.ca cost?
Nothing. We provide you our lawyer referral service free of charge and without any obligation. This ensures that you have maximum flexibility and bang for your buck!
Will there be additional costs once I retain a lawyer?
No. You are never charged a fee from our service. We provide our service free of charge without any obligation.
How does LawyerConnection.ca earn money?
We charge a subscription fee to lawyers to be in the network.
How can we be sure that no fees are passed on to the client?
Beyond our guarantee, you can take comfort that it is a legal requirement that no referral fees are passed on to the client. This is pursuant to Rule 2.08(7) of the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Rules of Professional Conduct.
Will you always send me a lawyer
We will do our best to locate you with the right lawyer to serve your case. Remember that you are always in charge of your matter. We may no guarantee or assurance that we will be able to locate a lawyer for your case and to connect you with someone to assist. We always recommend that you be in charge of your matter and make sure you are happy with the lawyer you choose. We can only recommend someone based on practice area and cannot tell you for certain that you have a good match of lawyers. Having said that, always feel free to call us back and follow up with us and we will do our best to assist you.
What if my matter is urgent or has a limitation period?
All legal matters may be subject to a limitations period. Limitation periods are essentially a period of time, legally defined, within which an action, claim, etc, must be commenced. Consult with counsel regarding limitation periods. Take care to make sure that you do not miss those periods.
